16-Year-Old Boy Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Girl Near Belleville, Illinois

A 16-year-old boy from Shiloh, Illinois is being accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl outside a skating rink on Saturday night.  The alleged assault happened outside the Fun Spot Skating Rink which is near Belleville, Illinois.

Belleville police allege a 16-year-old Shiloh, Illinois boy assaulted a 12 year-old girl outside the Fun Spot Skating Rink near Belleville Saturday night around 10:30.

Police were called to the scene.

The boy has now been charged with two counts of misdemeanor criminal sexual abuse in juvenile court. He was arrested at his home Sunday.

The girl was taken to the hospital, treated, and released.

Sexual Activity Between Proviso East High School Employee And Student Investigated

There is an investigation happening pertaining to an employee of Proviso East High School, in Maywood, Illinois, allegedly having a sexual encounter with a student.

No charges have been filed, and details concerning the alleged incident are limited.

It has been disclosed that the alleged incident happened at the school, during school hours, in mid-February.  The student is said to legally be an adult.

A spokesperson from Proviso Township High School, TaQuoya Kennedy, said that the district would take “swift and appropriate action.”

17-Year-Old Male Arrested For Sexual Assault & Sexual Abuse At Winthrop Harbor, Illinois Day Care Facility

A 17-year-old has been arrested and charged with sexual assault and sexual abuse at a day care facility in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois .

The 17-year-old, Brent Degler, was arrested on March 9 and has been charged with four counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, as well as four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  The alleged assaults involved three girls, ages 4-11 at the time of the alleged assaults, that occurred between November 2011 and March 6, 2012.

Degler’s mother ran the day care facility at which the alleged sex crimes occurred.  She is said to be unaware of her son’s alleged sexual crimes at the facility, according to police.

Winthrop Harbor Police Detective Sgt. Chris Willets says the charges against the 17-year-old Degler were filed after a two-week investigation.Willets says the investigation began earlier this month after a 4-year-old complained of pain to her parents, who contacted police. Former Aurora, Illinois High School Teacher Pleads Guilty To Sexual Assault Of Student

On Thursday, a former Metea Valley High School  physics teacher pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of a female student who was 16 years old at the time of the incident, which happened in 2010.

Robert C. Smith, 28, admitted to the charge as part of a deal with prosecutors in which he will be sentenced to six years in prison during a hearing on May 1.  As part of the deal, Smith will be required to serve 85 percent of that sentence and will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life upon his release from prison.

According to the prosecutors, Smith took a female student who was 16 years old at the time of the sexual assault to a Naperville, Illinois, hotel and performed a sex act on her.

Police had begun to investigate a possible inappropriate relationship between a student and teacher at Metea Valley High School in September 2010.

Woman Sexually Assaulted In Chicago’s Brighton Park Neighborhood

Today, Chicago Police issued a community alert in response to a woman being sexually assaulted early yesterday morning in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood.

The sexual assault is said to have happened between 5:30-5:45 a.m. in the area of 46th Street and South Christina Avenue.

Police said that a man grabbed the woman from behind, pushed her into a gangway and then to the ground, and sexually assaulted her.  He then fled.

The man was wearing a dark outer garment, blue jeans and black shoes.  He is described as being Hispanic, 28-36 years old, and 180-200 pounds.  He is clean shaven with black hair and a pony tail.

Those with information concerning the assailant’s identity or information concerning the sexual assault are asked to call police at (312) 747-8380 and refer to police report HV-192457.
