Today, a prosecutor told of an incident in which a New York man sexually abused the daughter of a Naperville, Illinois woman he was dating, and then punched the girl’s mother when she confronted him over the alleged act.
The man, Darren J. Kirkland, of Endicott, New York, had travelled to Naperville Saturday after meeting the woman online. After he had stayed at the woman’s house for a couple of days, he approached the woman’s 16-year-old daughter in the kitchen of the house as she prepared for school. He then tried to kiss her neck and reach under her clothes, according to Louisa Nuckolls, an Assitant State’s Attorney.
Once the girl’s mother learned of the incident, she confronted Kirkland, and, according to the charges, he responded by punching the mother several times.
Kirkland has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse and domestic battery.
